Elizabeth's Internship- Summer 2023

The first part of my internship last year was centered on creating a critical analysis of HPCC Systems social media platforms to determine what we could do better with regards to strategy. This included examining how we were performing via social media and the website compared to competitors including; Hadoop, Apache Spark, Databricks, Mongo DB and Cloudera to name a few.  The first week of my internship is based on analyzing the work that I've done from this time last year, to this time to best understand how our social media strategy has evolved and improved via metrics. This is essential as it also lets me understand how we can potentially shift or add to this strategy to improve it further. I'm in the process of creating a presentation deck this week in addition to the training that I have to complete, and next week, I should be able to present it to the rest of the team when they are available at the next Content Planning Discussion.  I will finish up this presentation an...

For the start of my internship, I was tasked with creating a short presentation slide about myself which I will share with the other interns in the first intern meeting. I will be presenting this next week!

Hi, my name is Elizabeth Lorti and I have just finished my second year of three at King's College London, but live in Lucca, Italy when I'm not at university. I am currently completing a BA in International Development and look forward to working in this sector in the future. In addition, I'm highly interested in social media and marketing which is in large part why I enjoy this internship, and I believe that through the cultivation of skills in this internship, I will be able to learn valuable skills and knowledge that will be applicable to development work later on.  I will be officially beginning my internship on Monday and I'm looking forward to beginning the mandatory training and the project I will be working on. Additionally, I've been managing the social media for HPCC Systems this past year. This will be the second year I'm working in Marketing at HPCC Systems and I'm excited to start!  Also, a fun fact about me is that I am a huge foodie!
